Long Awaited Return

Subject: Long Awaited Return Tue Feb 17, 2009 5:53 am

Kairi had mad her way back to the Island in which she used to love. Now it was nothing more then a dark wasteland in which no one really wanted to visit anymore. It was kept in eternal nightfall, no light shinned upon the remains of it. The sight was sadning to her. This used to be her favorite place to be now... ot was some place she just couldn't stand to see anymore. SHe had come this time only to see had badly it had turned out to be. She sighed walking around. She crouched down by the shoreline, starring at the stars as the water hit her shoes. She sighed sadly closing her eyes and hiding her head in her knees.

Ren was walking around the island looking for something when she noticed Kairi sitting down on the sand. Ren walked over to her and sat down. "Hello, Kairi. It's been a while." Ren laid down in the sand and stared up at the stars. "Would it upset you if I asked you to explain to me what this place actually looked like before the war...? Before you were trapped in time....?"

Kairi raised her head and looked over her shoulder at a friend she knew apparently. It was weird but she seemed familiar. With a small smile she turned and looked at her. "Hello....." She paused for a moment thinking. "Ren....right?" SIghing she looked back over her shoulder at the water this time then back at Ren. "And I don't mind...." Slowly she slide to her side and layed down on the cold sand. SIghing she closed her eyes and set her hand on her stomach. "It used to be so beautiful.... Sunny and warm and full of people who enjoyed everyday..." Memories of the old days came to her head. "Me and Sora and Riku came here everyday doing whatever we wanted... it was the perfect place to be...."

Ren smiled. "It sounds so wonderful. And yes, it is Ren." Ren laughed. "I wish that I could have seen it... it was probably more beautiful back then... Of course, I have gotten used to the neverending starry sky with the romantic ocean waves crashing upon the shore at night." Ren tilted her head and looked at Kairi. "What happened to Sora anyway? I thought you were going out with him... but he just vanished..."

Kairi let out a low sigh as the thought of Sora came to her head. "I don't know what happened to Sora... its like you said he just vanished again..." She made her hands come together and she placed near her chest. Her voice was sad sounding now as she continued. "I wish he were still here.... I miss him.." She turned her head in the opposite direction, looking away from Ren so she could hide the small tears forming in her eyes.

Ren sat up and looked over at Kairi. "It'll be okay, Kairi." Ren put her hand on Kairi's shoulder. "I'm here for you, okay?" At that moment a Prison Keeper peeked it's head up out from under the water, diving back down before either of them noticed it.

Kairi slowly sat up, wiping the tears from her face and eyes. She looked over at Ren trying to smile through it as she nodded. Soon though she gave in hiding her face in between her knees. Louds sobs could be heard coming from her.

Ren looked over at Kairi and tilted her head inquizitively. "Why are you crying, Kairi?"

I Just cnat over them being gone for so long. EVerything used to be so nice, now look....." She was right having not only lost her friends was bad enough but to have everything from the island to other things detroyed and chnaged for the worst was just making it even more unbearable for her. "Im sorry....Ren...for being like this..."

Ren turned to her and hugged her tight. "It's okay, Kairi. It's better to let your feelings out then hold them in. And besides, I'm here for you. I love you."
